Changed Avatar Image not showing in Account Management

First of all, this is a great site

Second I have a minor issue, I tried to change my avatar by browsing for a new avatar image on my local disk, and then pressing the 'Update' button.

After I have done this, I see the old image after the reload of the page.

I had to do a 'SHIFT'-Reload to see the new image.

That's just your browser caching images. When you do a regular reload in most browsers, it just reloads the HTML page itself and not other resources used by the page (images, stylesheets, etc.). Doing a Shift+Reload tells the browser to reload all of the resources, including images.

You can always change the cache settings on your browser but then that would cause it to download things that haven't actually changed.
