(I noticed that the dressing room on Ballistic Mystix manages to keep the character in the same position no matter what the clothing or hairstyle or tattoo is. as well as their outlines being transparent. I can't imagine that was all screencaptured manually and manually had the outline cut out.)
Did Ballistic Mystix use some kind of utility to render graphics from the game in the same animation step for each of them? I've searched over the years, but I've never seen anything, not even when looking at NEL stuff. (although that's a lot more complicated, so I might have missed something)

I'm wanting to try to recreate some armor and weapons maybe with papercraft or something, (I want to try something more realistic eventually, but I think even working with 3D models and building a papercraft will be a huge enough project for me.)
and I wanted something really accurate, since:
1) a few things are hard to see from the pictures on the website here (especially weapons. some of them are much harder to see than others. the quality varies a lot.)
2) I only have a trial account on Ryzom which doesn't allow me to see the equipment I'm interested in even if I wanted to try and do it by eye.

Has anyone ever made an offline Recipe Generator?

I posted this on the main forums also, but it seems like probably some of the best data base people are maybe right here, and would know if something like this exists or is even possible ..

For those of us new and working on how to develop our own recipes, it seems like some brilliant person out there might know if it is possible to create a webbased or standalone "recipe maker" where you could experiment adding different resources etc to find combinations you like, then save those recipes, possibly to print out. That way we would know in advance also what resources to go out and dig, as opposed to just gathering and combining random materials.

I admit I am not a database person and I could be wildly underestimating how big of a challenge this would be -- or perhaps something like this is already made and either downloadable or usable from a website?

Mapping for Skill IDs in Ryzom Dumpfile

karu pointed me to the ryzom dumpfile. because our gildmates are posting (most of) their levels in our forum, i decided to write a little script that creates BB-Code out of the ryzom dumpfile. i will attach the therefor created mapping file here, maybe its interesting for somebody else.

So whats the situation with Ryzom?

I was looking into this game but the free trial I wasn't sure could let me hang out with you guys which is all I really wanted to do.
so what happened to it? it shut down but came back up? the users that were unsubscribed can use it now, would that include players who never had an account? I am interested.

Inventory management

hi everybody,

first of all, let me say thank you for this amazing website!
i yust wanted to ask if someone of you had ever planed, started (or finished :)) to create some kind of inventory management system (web based) for guild-houses etc.
currently we are maintainig our guild-house inventory in one big excel file - but this is more than complex (because not every member is able to take a quick look/search at/through the list, it's quite complicated to generate the same ordering as in the IG inventory to quickly find differences or add/remove items from the list etc.)
how do you guys manage your guild-house inventory? is anybody else interested in developing (maybe someone with more knowledge in developing web applications then me :)) or using such a software?
